I received a phone call from a guy about to start a Froyo business. I love Froyo, so he got my curiosity from the get go.

After telling me his ideas, he quickly asked for a logo to begin his brand. And that’s when everything went to hell.

I explained the process we use when engineering a new brand identity and he quickly stopped me and said “No no, listen…I want something similar to the Yogen Fruz logo. Actually, I had a similar design in mind, but my son told me I couldn’t use it”

He sent me his logo idea and it wasn’t similar at all to the Yogen Fruz logo.

It was Friggin the same as the Yogen Fruz logo, except for the colors

I should’ve stopped the conversation right there, shut the phone call, and burn my phone; but I loved my phone, so I asked him why a similar logo.

His answer was so people know it’s the same thing as Yogen Fruz, so people would think his brand was as cool as Yogen Fruz.

In other words, we wanted to leech on Yogen Fruz awesomeness.

I didn’t take the job.

I couldn’t help him.

He wanted me to steal make a logo that turns his brand great overnight.

I can’t do that.
